The Paul and Helen Bernat Collection
The elegant vase is well potted with two globular sections. It is all covered on the exterior in a thick lustrous black glaze with shiny surface like a mirror. Such glaze became known as ‘noir mirroir’ or ‘mirror black’ when it became popular in Europe in the 18th century.
